Before Perma and Paradise, beyond Dixon and Moiese, across the turquoise waters of the Flathead River is the road to Hot Springs.

There is still a lot of potential in Hot Springs and it is a good place to buy real estate. I currently have 2 great buys listed in Hot Springs - an Updated Commercial Building on Main Street and a 3 BR, 2 BA Home in a beautiful park-like setting. Please take a look at these great properties on my website at http://www.yourbigskyhome.com. For more information, send me an email at monica@yourbigskyhome.com

I am responding to this horribly misinformed artical by the above writer. It is so clear that she did not check her facts.

As one of the owners of a business Barking Dog Inc. http://www.barkingdogdessert.com she referrers to as closed I am greatly offended. Had she checked her facts she would of know that we did not close we out grew our location and expanded and are only selling the real estate. Hot Springs is a up and coming town full of eclectic and educated people.

Ms. Kazmierczak is the worst kind of journalist. The kind that only look at the surface and does not do there homework. Her article is undermining to all the hard work and affords our artist society and historical society, as well as community development are under taking and achieving. I would like her to come back up and here and amend her story or strike it completely. It is so full of misinformation it is almost slanderous. It is so clear she did not interview one local or speak to one business owner. Had she, her story would of read differently.

Hot Springs affords people the opportunity to open a business with a minimal overhead. It creates a community that thrives on the underbelly of the norm. Where as a family of 4 could not buy a home in Missoula or Kalispell for what they make living and working in those towns, Hot Springs real estate is still reachable for the first time buyer or small business dreamer. As well it is a thriving home to some great artist and ecco artist. We have many PHD's and well know artists living in this town.

They love the quite and isolation. Hot Springs is one of the only Montana towns that has diversity in all areas. Being on the Reservation is a plus as well, protecting our water and land rights to halt the over development. We are also one of the last standing ranching communities in this state. Hot Springs is a treasure not a dying town. Please get it right Ms. Kazmierczak.

As for the dark cloud over hot springs when Missoula is sunny~check the weather report! Hot Springs always has MORE SUN!!
The comment on our water, it is scientific fact that our waters hold healing properties. We didn't make it up as locals. Had you once again checked your facts you would of know this. Hopefully your major is not journalism. Hopefully you are choosing a career as a fiction writer.

Is the Hot Springs Montana you write about located in Sanders County on the Camus Prairie? If it is I was born there and would like to know more about how the Town is getting along? Thank you for your help.
